Eating Out
We took the kids to lunch at a real restaurant (not a fast food joint this time) today. We’ve learned from many many times of eating out that you should always order your food the same time with your kids’ food. In the past, we would order the kids’ food first, while they eat, we would wait for our food. So now, everyone gets his/her food the same time, it’s just chew and screw (my brother’s term) when you go out w/kids.
Sophia has been on solid foods for a while now. She had mac and cheese and loved it. No matter how many times I tried to feed her pasta w/red sauce, she would spit it out. I’m just amazed how she already knows what she likes and dislikes already. How is that possible at this age? And she had strawberry ice cream for the first time and I couldn’t feed her fast enough. The girl has a sweet tooth already (shaking my head).
Now, here’s something I don’t understand. How is that she can’t drink cow’s milk until 1 year old but she can have yogurt or dairy foods? I must ask her pediatrician next time, unless you have the answer for me. I can’t wait for that day to come where I don’t have to stock up on the baby formula.
Did you know that BJ’s lock up the baby formulas now? They told us that people have been stealing them (I don’t blame them, those suckers are pretty expensive!) and there are other people out there who are using the powder to make drugs. Have you heard that before? What kind of drug can that be? Gee, how desperate can one be? Those people are so resourceful, if they would only put their mind to better use…maybe they’ll be millionaires.
