A Child’s love is priceless!!!

If you are a parent, no doubt you have experienced the many wonderful, frustrating, nail biting, unhappied moments in child rearing.  And when there are three kids under the age of five…you have three times the fun, right?!

Ever since Trent turned three years old (three weeks ago), he started regressing to his old clingy self, and crankier than normal *sigh*, especially in the morning when I’m trying to get three kids ready for school.  You know how that is!!

Well, today was no exception *more sighs*!  I went in his room to give him milk and get him dressed, he started squirming, kicking and crying for no reason.  So I left him there for him to calm down, and he followed me to my room.

Here I am, not even showered, Sophia still has to be fed and cleaned, Tyler has to eat breakfast and it was already 8:00AM (I overslept since 5:00AM when Sophia woke up for milk).  Trent wanted me to lie down with him so I obliged, with one leg on the floor hoping he will change his mind.

But as I was laying there looking at Trent, he stared at me with such love and adoration that my heart just melts *teary eyed*.  All he wanted was a little attention from his Mommy.  And at one point, he even said “hug me” *ahhh*.

I stared back into Trent’s face and couldn’t help noticed how adorable he is, his eye lashes are really curly (how jealous am I), and his lips are very pouty (girls will love that later…much, much later, in his life).  And I couldn’t help but feel so blessed to have such creation in my presence!

Have you ever had the chance to look into your child’s face, really just stop and observe the cutest little nose, the blackest (or whatever color it is) eyes, the poutiest mouth, and the tiniest hands and feet?  Don’t you feel like the luckiest person alive?!  I do every single day of my life no matter how cranky, how angry, or how whiny they are.

I know his love toward us is a fleeting thing (it’s not cool to show his emotion to his parents when he’s older…you know that!).  So I’m trying to ”soak” it up and enjoy it as much as I can.  It’s something that you parents can relate to me, I’m sure!

It’s a love that I can’t put into words, or describe.  It’s something you have to experience yourself.  And I hope that everyone will be lucky and blessed to experience this love from your very own child *ahhh*! ;-)
