Watch out…it’s “Bridezillas” in the house!!

I’m in the middle of another entry regarding “Kids’ rooms makeover…” (coming soon) and watching this show on “WE” channel calls “Bridezillas” at the same time.  I couldn’t resist writing about it.  If you haven’t seen it before, you have got to see it!!

It’s a “reality series that follows high-maintenance brides-to-be”.

OH MY GODDDD!  You mean to tell me, there are brides like these women out there?!!  WHOA!!  Ok, here is an obviously question “why the heck would you be in a show like this for million of people to see??”

WOW!!  Can you tell I’m speechless?!!  We’re talking about brides who mortgaged their house, or maxed out their credit cards just to have the most expensive wedding at the most exclusive place with the most out of this world food for ONE DAY.  It’s fine if you have money coming out of your “whazzoo” or if Daddy’s willing to pay for the whole wedding from A-Z.

But I’m talking about brides, with two jobs and trying to make ends meet here people, with $7000 wedding dress (that’s alot of diapers, formulas, and college fund), for ONE DAY!!  Do you get it, ONE DAY!!  And what were you planning to do with that dress after the wedding??  It doesn’t turn back into cash, does it?!

It just doesn’t stop there, the cost of the reception was $60,000 for 200 people??!!  And of course, the flowers were a mere $25,000??!!

And there’s the cussings, the meltdowns, and the dramas over the tiniest thing.  Yes, I realize it’s a big important day.  I’ve been there too with one of my bridesmaids who, travelled all the way from the Philippines, got her luggage stolen at the airport WITH HER BRIDESMAID GOWN IN IT FOUR DAYS BEFORE MY WEDDING!!

Now, that’s a legit meltdown!!  But we found another dress, one day before the wedding, and it wasn’t the same color or dress, BUT NOONE EVEN NOTICED!  And we didn’t break the bank in getting married.

So, what kind of bride-to-be were you?? ;-)

I have heard about such crazy spending with mortgage on the wedding. Those “expensive” brides have a different definition of happiness in life. I would feel miserable if my wedding happened that way because i have my own definition of hapiness but it might not be applied for them. That may explain why those “high maintainance bride-to-be” ladies still exist. (PS : I even did not have the bridesmaid on my wedding day !)
