Family Friendly restaurants!

March 29th, 2006

This entry is about our experiences with restaurants that we think are "family friendly" but that doesn't mean that your precious pride and joy can check their table manners at the door!

Hey, I don't pretend to know all the answers in the world of Parenting, but I know when Ms. misbehaving rears her ugly head and disciplining is required! We have 3 children under the age of 5 and they are far from little angels, but they know what the consequences will be if they act up in public places.

Working vs. Stay-At-Home Moms.

March 20th, 2006

This subject came to me the other day, I don't know why I haven't thought of writing about it before. But I know it's a subject that's been well discussed in the media, magazines, and among friends.

For those of you who've read my other entries...you'd know that I'm a stay-at-home (aka "household engineer") Mom with 3 wonderful, feisty, rambunctious, and loveable kids.

Tyler is 5 going on 40. Trent is 3 and still in the terrible 2 stage. Sophia, my lovely princess, just turned 1! I've been a stay-at-home Mom for six years now.

What type of parents are you?

March 16th, 2006

I was watching "Super Nanny" on TV the other night, (for those of you who are not familiar with the show...it's about Jo Frost, the "Super Nanny" who visits a "chosen" family who needs help in either restoring order in the family or disciplining an unruly child or parents, in some cases, and she does achieve the requested goal in the end) and couldn't help writing about this subject "what types of parents are you?"!

To me, there are no bad children...just bad parenting. What makes me the "expert" in this field? Well, I am a parent of three and since this is MY blog...I guess that makes me the expert!

A Mom’s love is infinitely precious!

March 13th, 2006

Now that I am a mother, three precious times, I truly know what it's like to love my own Mom...infinitely more now than before!!

When we were growing up, we think we know all the answers, we think we are wise beyond anybody, we are invincible, and no matter what our Moms say...only we matter! The many fights that we had with our Moms over the littlest things just seem so trivial and very silly now.

Some things changed along the way to motherhood. We learned to love, to care, to be proud of, to nurture somebody else besides ourselves. And we should thank our Parents, but especially our Moms for teaching us all these important lessons in life.

Household products that I can’t live without!

March 13th, 2006

If you are a Household Engineer (a.k.a. stay-at-home Mom), there's no doubt you are the "Jill of all trade" and the "CEO of many home-based businesses". You could be the CEO of a laundromat one day, a four star chef the next, or the President of a very busy cleaning service.

So there are a bunch of products that I have "endorsed" and can't live without. I'd like to share some with you, and if you have some products that you swear by in your busy daily life as "CEO's", do share them with the rest of us. This is brainstorming at its best!
