I married a saint!

May 31st, 2006

I've been walking around the house in a sleep deprived state the past few days, weeks, actually for three years now ever since my second and third pride and joy arrived on this Earth. So I look forward to the weekends for some R & R (that's rest and relaxation folks) *HA!* with the help of my other lesser sleep-deprived-who-can-sleep-through-anything-including-kids'-screaming partner in crime.

But nothing ever goes according to plan when there are babies and husband in the equation. Well, alright just to be fair, my husband has to travel for work...unfortunately for us me, who has to be on double duty all week. Oh, back to me again...sorry!

“Calgon…take me away!!!”

It's 7:07 AM EST, I'm crankily surrounded by my 2 rascals who look like Hugh Heffner in their jammies. I say "crankily" because my day already started at 3:37 AM this morning!! *very angry* AND this is the second day week month in the row!

Hughheffner

Trent (3) woke up at 3:37 AM because he had to go pee, this potty train thing is really annoying, eventhough I'm saving A TON of money from not buying any more pull ups.

As I'm taking Trent to the bathroom to do his thing, Tyler (5) called "Mommy, I need a tissue!"

$130,000 Payday!

May 23rd, 2006

Similac is having a contest calls "Similac Mom's $130K Payday", I'm sure you've seen it on TV or in your pediatrician's office. But the rules don't apply to you and me who have children over 12 months old.

Well then why are they running this contest anyway?! Unless you have twins, triplets or a physically challenged child under 12 months old, being a mother of one child is not that difficult people. I'm speaking from experience here and yes, having three children under the age of five makes me the expert. 8)

My little helper.

If you're planning to have children, I highly recommend having them two years apart. Or if you're a SAHM (Stay-At-Home-Mom aka Household Engineer) like me and have three children under the age of five and two years apart...you'd know how helpful your five year old can be. ;-)

Like this morning, Sophia (15 months) woke up around 6:45, had her milk and I put her back to sleep but because she's sick with a cold, her nose is a constant "snotfall", so she couldn't go back to sleep and I had to get my morning routine done.

Middle child syndrome or is it just a phase?!

May 21st, 2006

Our middle child, Trent, is three and he's been soooo cranky with the capital C lately or, should I say, since he's turned three six months ago!! Sometimes, I feel like he's our Dr. Jeckyll and Mr. Hyde.

It doesn't matter what time of the day or night, any small thing could set him off and he'd be clingy, hitting, throwing things and crying uncontrollably. To make matter's worse, he can't express himself most of the times because he's still learning to talk.

At one point, our oldest son, Tyler who's five going on forty said "That's bad attitude Trent!" during one of Trent's meltdowns and that would anger Trent more.
