Video Weekly Contest

Wow… I feel very special to be able to write on my darling’s very nice blog. I am surprised she let me :). Well get to the point as one famous person said.
We will have a contest weekly where Waya will be selecting the “Best” comment for the week. It is really up to her and she is Waya after all, so obviously this is totally objective! She will select the winner every Thursday night - Eastern Standard Time. So what do you win other than Waya’s favor and admiration? Well…
You get to send us 5 pictures (under 1meg jpg per picture) + 1 background picture (under 1meg .jpg) and we will turn it into a video with music of our choice. The music will most likely be classical for now and there will not be too many choices. In fact in the beginning just one ;). Don’t bother sending us a .mp3 file - too many legal issues to deal with for now :(. We will host here at Waya and you can share the URL with the video with your friends and family!
NOTE: It looks like the video file only works on IE within this post. I am checking to see how to get it to run on Firefox and Opera. To see it in Firefox or Opera - click here.
Here is a sample of our daugher’s first birthday celebration without music - make sure you hit the play button:
A couple of those stupid legal disclaimers and other details:
- The web page will look like this one but it will not be publicly known other than you and us and of course those you share it with. There is no security.
- Video length will vary but will be under 30 seconds.
- We will try to have the page up at all times but it may be down from time to time for web server maintenance etc.
- We can’t promise miracles with the pictures you send in to us but we will also endeavor to do our best!
- Since this is a family blog, we really don’t want to see anything unusual or explicit
- We may stop this service at anytime if bandwidth starts to get crazy but we have enought to last a while for sure!
- If your comment is chosen and you do not want to take advantage of this free service…just send us an email to let us know.
- We do need a valid email address to communicate with you.

Waya, I think you are both smart and pretty. This is a pretty neato contest and I can’t wait to see how it turns out. I’m sure it will be fabu because you are a talented woman.
