I got your back
This has to be one of my favorite pictures of my three precious children. Their innocent cheerful smiles tug me at my heart and I’m beaming with pride and joy, even for just one ephemeral moment until the next meltdown.

As a Mom, I can only hope that their friendships will endure the sibling rivalry that will no doubt exists between brothers and sister, as I went through with my own four siblings. But somehow the experience has strenghtened our relationship throughout the years and we are never out of touch for one moment, thanks to emails and T-Mobile to T-Mobile and family get togethers.
When I chose the title of this post, the one song that came to mind is “I Got You Babe” by Sonny and Cher. And I’ve started singing the following lyrics to my kids ever since this post. And they really liked it even if Mommy’s singing off-key and forget some of the words (most of the time).
I really want this to be “our song”. I hope that my children will think of Mommy when they hear this song while driving in their car off to college *sniff* or off on their own journey of life *wailing now*.
I got you to hold my hand
I got you to understand
I got you to walk with me
I got you to talk with me
I got you to kiss goodnight
I got you to hold me tight
I got you, I won’t let go
I got you to love me so
Do you have a song that you seranade to your children, even if it’s off-key?

What a FABULOUS photo!! I LOVE it!! I have dreamed of capturing such a moment with my kids! (they have them all the time, its the camera ready, everyone looking and smiling all at the same time I have the problem with)
Abbie
Now I’m sniffy too. . . Very cute photo — the munchkins are adorable and look so happy!
Great photo. Beautiful kids. Awesome smiles. I love it!
As for a song to my daughter? Lately, when I’m changing her diaper (which she no longer has the patience for,) I’ve been singing “Twist & Shout.”
That is such a cute picture. I sometimes wish I had 3. But 2 girls is enough, don’t wanna push it. Plus I’m not exactly a spring chicken! Hokey song I sing is “You are so beautiful” by Joe Jocker. Violet rolls her eyes and says “maaauuuummmm!”
ps thanks for checking out my whimsy….
Hi ho Hi ho it is off to play we go, such three little sweeties all in a row! Happiness glows from them!
What a shot. What adorable kids!!!!!! What fun they are having. (Until the next meltdown-hehehe).
Um, this may be off the subject, but I really like that couch in the background.
Oh, yea, and cute kids!
OMG!! I absolutely love the pic. Your kids are adorable!!!
No wonder you’re proud.
Great pictures. They are simply adorable!!!
Awwww..that’s a priceless photo! Such adorable children
We don’t have a special song but maybe we should!
Thanks for visiting my blog today. Your children are absolutely adorable in this picture. I grew up with four kids in the family and I am not sure there is one picture with all of us children smiling at the same time. Way to go!
My kids are young, so I keep it simple: I made up a song using all the names of the people in our family (including cats). It’s to the tune of Frere Jacques. A big hit!
Very funny photo!
My wife and I usually sing our daughter Tom Jone’s songs with her name somewhere in there (Gillian)…for instance “Delilah” we sing “Why, Why, why…my Gillian..” when she cries or gets upset about something.
It makes her calm down
I LOVE the photo! That is the kind of picture that will be cherished forever.
The song I sing to my children the most is “Home on the Range”.
Ben was obsessed with cowboys for awhile (kinda still is), and this was his favorite cowboy song. Sophia loves it too - she doesn’t understand it, but it has a sweetness to it that she picks up on.
I Got You Babe is a wonderful song to sing to your kids!
Rockin’ family! Of course I already knew they were sweethearts just because of their momma.
Aw shucks Jeff! You’re making me blush! Thanks for the kind comment! And to everyone for your kind words as well.
I was reluctant in posting pictures of my children, you never know what kind of nuts are lurking out there these days! But they are too precious for me not to share with a few of my good blogging friends!
I know there are wonderful words there to be read, but I can’t tear my eyes away from that gorgeous photo. And the littlest one? She has got to be in the running for cutest thing on two feet. How do you get anything done all day? I’d be kissing and hugging all three of them constantly, and I’m not normally a demonstrative woman.
Thanks for stopping by my blog. Hope to see you again!
You have three of the most precious children I have ever seen. They are absolutely beautiful.
I have three daughters, so I know how hard it is get a picture of all three looking human– much less adorable.
Oh I sing this song called “Hush-a-bye” and of course “Zippidy-do-dah” and “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star”
I used to sing to them every night, but I haven’t lately– that is sad. I wonder if they miss it.
Three is such a beautiful number - and this photo really captures what its all about. I like to sing my (3) girls Somewhere over the rainbow. My husband outdoes me by playing guitar AND singing. He’s such a show pony, but the girls LOVE it.
Wow! You have gorgeous children! Thanks for stopping by my site! I’ll be back!
Very cute photo!!!
