Interactive DVD for children-A review

August 30th, 2006

You got to love the blogosphere! Well, for me anyway. I was approached by this company to review this DVD, something about me writing about my children "caught" their marketing eye. So if you, Sony folks, want moi to review a Plasma TV or just any TV's, give me a holler. It has nothing to do with our one ancient TV that we have that's on its last legs, really. And I promise to be objective.

The kids were really excited when we received the new DVD.

“The Little Engine That Could”

August 28th, 2006

I'll be the Engineer Trent, and you can be my Conductor. Let's take this train over the hill so the little boys and girls can have good things to eat, and toys to play with.*

It's apparent that Tyler and Trent love their Legos, they made a tunnel out of Legos, just to spice it up a bit.

Going Bonkers

August 27th, 2006

Although our first baby boy, Tyler, will be turning six (already?! Sniffle sniffle) this September, we decided to have an early birthday party for him and his former Kindergarten classmates this past Saturday (before the craziness of going back to school). The two-hour "shindig" was at Bonkers, eighteen kids were invited including his seven cousins among other 32,118 excited and screaming partygoers and their families.

Anniversary planning by Mr. & Mrs. Cheap*

August 23rd, 2006

Hubbie and I have been discussing our 9th year anniversary (although he tells me that it should really be our 15th year, that's how long we've known each other, gasp and gulp!) coming up in September. We've been contemplating going away for the weekend. This would be our FIRST TIME EVAH leaving the kids in six years (yup! Six whole years! More gulping!)

The idea of leaving my children is very unnerving to me, yeah I'm one of those mommies who can't leave their kids (overnight) with anybody, even if it's with relatives, there I admitted it! Even my sisters are trying to persuade me to go, actually they are telling me to go or else.

Do you love me Mommy

August 22nd, 2006

My 5 year old son, Tyler, asked me last night "Do you love me Mommy?" It took me by surprised as to why he would ask such a question and I paused, replied to him by looking lovingly into his face "of course Mommy loves you. Mommy loves you to the infinity!" And he said "that means you don't stop loving me, right Mommy?" And I said "that's right, Mommy loves you for a loooong loooong loooong time!" And he grinned satisfactorily with one missing front tooth. That image puts a smile to my face and made up for all the "no's" he said to me that day.
