“Rescue Me” Dennis Leary

Are there any Rescue Me fans out there? This show is shown every Tuesday @ 10PM EST on FX. My hubbie and I are addicted to this show and anything that Dennis Leary has been involved in, in the past. I probably won’t be doing justice in describing what Rescue Me is about but to put it simply, it’s a show involving New York Engine 62 and its firefighters (post 9/11) whose lives touch on every single taboo subjects that leave me cringing, jaw dropping and eye popping while glued to the tube every Tuesday night.

The show is written by Emmy-nominated Dennis Leary, who is also the main character. He’s surrounded by a great cast of actors/actresses. I highly recommend it, if you haven’t seen it.

At first, I wanted to elaborate further about the show but I was watching the news last night and who was featured but the man himself, Dennis Leary. He was in Boston to donate a $250,000 boat to the Boston firefighters, in the hopes that it will help in getting to emergencies in the water faster in order to save more lives.

Dennis Leary is a Massachusetts native and a very talented actor/comedian, in my opinion.  But aside from that, he is the president of The Leary Firefighters Foundation for the past five years. Dennis Leary has been an advocate of firefighters ever since 9/11 and who also lost his first cousin in the 1999 warehouse fire in Worcester. It’s touching to see celebrity like Dennis Leary who is so affectionate and committed to a cause. You’re “da” man Dennis!!

I actually have been interested in the show. But I am more of a sci-fi/detective junkie.

Kudos to Dennis (if nothing else he has an outstanding name!) and his good works.

I like Dennis Leary but have not seen this show. I remember seeing him on the Daily Show to talk about his new show.
Good for him for being an active celebrity like that. We need more celebs like him & Brangelina.

I saw the previews for this series months ago and knew then that I wanted to see it. I love Dennis Leary and his passion for firefighters is highly commendable. Thanks for the reminder to check it out!

I knew that Dennis Leary was very active with fundraising for firefighters…I remember seeing him on talk shows right after 9/11. Admirable cause.

I have not seen the show, however, because we don’t have (gasp!) cable!

I’ve seen the ads for Rescue Me because i watch Nip/Tuck, also on FX but I’ve never seen the actual show. My friends love it, though.

Okay, so I LOVE this show. It’s one of the few programs Kurt and I can watch together without arguing over its merit. We don’t have cable anymore, but I’ve already reserved season 3 on Netflix.

I absolutely love, love, Dennis Leary and the show Rescue Me. It is funny, well written, gritty, scary, touching, and so much more.

It doesn’t hurt that he is an active advocate of Firefighters, an admirable cause.

Dennis Leary is one of the best actors around, this show is so thought provoking and you have to watch it, it completely draws you in!!! The cast is awesome, they all fit so well together. I personally loved Dennis Leary’s now canceled ABC show, hated to see it go, but I cannot get enough of Rescue Me, the brightest spot on TV, what with the huge array of crap that is out there. Thanks to Dennis and the rest of the cast!!!!!
