From our family to yours

December 22nd, 2006

The time is near for family get togethers, eating, drinking (stinky non-alcoholic cocktails for me!) and be merry.

From our family to yours, wishing you a joyous and warm Christmas. May 2007 bring you good health and good fortune!!

Having three kids meant that crowded malls are not kid-friendly or sanity-friendly, and the extremely long line at the Santa's booth is definitely not conducive to kids. AND being somewhat unconventional (at the chagrin of our old-fashioned parents), we didn't bother having the kids take pictures with Santa this year or even dressing them up in nice clothes.

Love is in the Post-its

December 20th, 2006

Love is making and packing your hubbie lunch (a very rare occasion!) for work.

Love is knowing that your hubbie can be as forgetful as you. And as a reminder, you put post-its around the house. Not one but three.

Overkill you say? Overkill would be to put another note in the car to remind him not to forget his lunch in the car. Hee hee!!

Happy Love Thursday!

Stupid is as stupid does

December 17th, 2006

Ever since I became pregnant for the 4th time 14 weeks ago, I've been living this line "stupid is as stupid does" every single day. And today was no exception!

Since Christmas is around the corner, I figure it would be a good time as any to go shopping for gifts today. My hubbie babysat our three rascals along with my sister's three children, he's wonderful that way, so that we can do quick shopping without any cranky kids in tow.

Love is a community

December 13th, 2006

Love is being able to share the news with your blogging friends who have been so generous with their compliments and excitement. Thank you to all of you wonderful efriends!

Love is a community involving two caring and very thoughtful bloggers (and the many who've donated items) who've started an auction, Her Bad Auction, on behalf of Her Bad Mother's nephew Tanner, who has Duchenne's Muscular Dystrophy. The auction is a series of raffles to raise money for Muscular Dystrophy Research. Go here for more info.

Love is sending Tanner letters or drawings from your children. Everyone loves to get letters, children included.

The best birthday gift ever

December 12th, 2006

Today I turned 5.43 years old, as in dog years.

I think that sounds better than the actual human age. I'm sure you folks will figure that out. I'm not really hung up on turning older but I guess the number is just too big to comprehend. I hope that makes sense. Either that or I'm really losing my marbles turning one year older and talking gibberish...as usual.

To celebrate the occasion, my oldest sister was asked volunteered to have our three rascals sleep over on Saturday while the hubbie and I went out and paint the town red.
