Love is in the surprise

Love is when your hubbie surprises you and your three children by coming home one day early from his business trip. The excitement and squeal of laughter from your children when they see their Dad walks through the door just melts my heart. Not to mention my own elation.

My hubbie is THE king of surprises. I can still remember clearly the day he drove four hours to surprise me for my 21st birthday (um, that was only a few years ago…ahem) that a friend had planned. It was when we did the long distance relationship thing and then he drove home the same night for work the next morning. That’s love folks, or should I say crazy in love.

After nine blissful years of marriage (and five years of dating), he can still “get” me all the time with his surprises. I’m going to outdo him one of these days with the best surprise ever!! Any suggestions?

Happy Love Thursday! Check here and here for other Love posts.

I’ll have to think about it and get back to you. It’s so wonderful to see two people still in love after all those years!

My husband can’t keep a secret to save his life….. heck he gave me my Christmas present already because he “just couldn’t wait!”

Very sweet. I’m terrible at surprises because I always can’t stand the anticipation. If I have (what I think is) a really great Christmas gift I want to give it to the person as soon as I buy it. I usually can restrain myself, but it’s hard.

I love the entry. Hubby took a leave for a day because he wanted to take me out for a date. I think my lil tornado sense it and didn’t like it so he got sick. Date cancelled. Hehe …

I loathe surprises. But, the surprise of having the Daddy come home a day early would be something I could live with! :) Very sweet and romantic for sure.

Any suggestions you ask? I don’t know, given you fondness for handcuffs and all. That outta work!

Yeah, my hubbie is a keeper alright but I better not praise him too much any more on this blog. I don’t want it to get to his head.

Jeff~ahem, you’re never going to let me off the hook with linking to Sweatpantsmom’s post with that handcuffs picture on it now are you?!

That is so sweet. It’s nice when you know that they planned something out to surprise you. My husband has given me some nice surprises over the years, and it’s always such a treat and unexpected, that’s what I love so much about it and love about him. We’re lucky huh? As far as ideas…..I think they always appreciate the waiting for them in something sexy, and kids are overnight at grandmas……or a extra nice special meal is always appreciated at this house.
