Love is being a great helper
I've often written about my six year old son, Tyler, on this blog and how he is 6 going on 40. I think being the oldest of three children has a lot to do with him being sensible and all. And for this Love Thursday, allow me to demonstrate how responsible he can be at six years of his life.
Love is devising a to-do list which he has written all by himself (with some help in spelling a few words from Mommy) to help with the chores around the house.

Love is helping Mommy dries the dishes, although he only wrote one "dish" but really he did dry more than one dish. Drying dishes is serious job you know!!

And love is feeling proud of a job well done and being able to award oneself. He wrote this all by himself.

So with the 4th child coming in June, I know I'm in good hand with my little helper!!
Happy Love Thursday!

What an amazing helper and writer!
How cute! He has really good writing too–love the little “check” boxes.
How sweet, the photos really put a smile on my face.
How adorable is that?!!! What a sweetheart!!
That is SO gorgeous. I have 3 girls and I call my oldest “Jr. Mom.” Thing is, she does it all on her own, which just amazes me.
How lucky to have such great helpers! Enjoy it now while they’re still willing to do it!
What a sweet helper. Love the way he writes his own list and then congratulates himself for a job welldone. Happy LT
what a great older brother. Can he do dirty diapers?
Aaawwww….
child labor laws aside…do you rent this boy out???
Don’t you just love it when they get all self-motivated?! My oldest is a list-maker, too, when it comes to chores. She does the checkmarks when she’s finished something, too. I don’t know who taught her those organizational skillz.
That is one great guy you got there!
good job Tyler! You did mommy proud!
Um, in all seriousness, can I borrow him? I can’t get organized to save my life and from the looks of it he’s a master at organization.
I pay well. Lots of homemade cookies.
Awww! What an AWESOME helper! You’ve done good Mama!
How sweet is that? hehe! I’m back by the way
*hugs*
He has lovely penmanship. You are raising a keeper there Betty.
Too cute. And I love his self-affirmation letter at the end - a future Dr. Phil?
I see he left three more spots on his checklist. I’m thinking you should fill them in with: Smile, Hug, Kiss
