Happy Golden Pig Year
To all my peeps who celebrate the Lunar New Year, may this year of the Golden Pig, bring you and your family health, happiness and prosperity!
According to this one source, "the pig is traditionally associated with wealth and good luck. ... The golden pig returns only every 600 years and when it does it symbolizes an especially auspicious year. This is a good year to have babies!" So get going, have babies that is! What are you waiting for, the cut off is April folks (if I did my math correctly).
As for us, we did plan to have a baby this year but didn't realize it was a "Golden Pig" year, so that's definitely a plus, since I'm such a superstitious person. And since we can't agree on a name yet, I've been calling my little "bun in the oven" my "piglet". I'm not sure if he likes that or not but every time I called him that...he kicked really hard. Hmmm...
Well, got to go and get ready to pig out at my sister's house today. Enjoy your own feasts!!
