I’m speechless and that’s not like me

I had to pick my jaw off of the ground after reading this. I’m simply speechless (which is not like me at all!), my hair got a bit grayer, and my blood pressure shot up quite a bit.

This is the second time in a month, I believe, that students as young as 5th Graders were caught having sex in school. I know, you read that correctly. S-E-X!

OH

MY

GOD!

A ton of questions went through my head, making my own parental judgment, who wouldn’t, right?

What the hell is going on? Who are these children? What are their parents like? What are they teaching or not teaching their children?

Is this a new kind of peer pressure? Besides from worrying about school security, we parents have to worry about our children exposing to kids having sex in school as well?

Homeschooling seems like a safe option right about now.

I saw that story too. Freaked me out completely. Wife talked me down. Assured me that is not normal. Still contemplating homeschooling. Or a convent. Can we say it one more time? FIFTH GRADE!!! Good lord that scares the crap out of me.

In my niece’s school, 2 girls and 1 boy were caught in the bathroom kissing. They were only 7 years old. I was shocked about that. I can’t even imagine them having sex!

I agree….sooooooooo scary. It is a crazy, awful, perverted world that we live in thats for damn sure. When you are somewhat normal and trying to keep your kids innocent and childlike it is an uphill battle all the way because it seems like 75% of parents are not of like mind.

No freaking way! That’s way too young … I wonder where they learned about that though? Makes you think … I mean, where could they have seen anyone having sex? where could they have learned about it?

Freaky …

I remember the boys and girls not wanting to have much of anything to do with one another in 5th grade. The unit on square dancing in physical education (your post brings new meaning to that) was pure torture because we had to touch the boys.

I guess times have changed. Yuck.

I’m thinking of keeping my kid locked in a closet until she’s 32. I’ll use that article as my defense when DSS comes a-knockin’.

Unbelieveable. And pretty scary. What are they going to be doing at 18?

I got all teary when I heard the news last night. What kind of world is this? Where was the teacher? Why were they gone for so long? What kind of a child would do those things? What have they been exposed to at home that would make them do those things?

Oh dear Lord, I need a drink. I think I’m in shock. I remember my parents talking to me when I was younger about how much things had changed since they were my age … but this? This is very, very dangerous. I’m suddenly terrified of what lies ahead …

I’ve heard some similar stories from teachers of 6th and 7th graders! This is sick and dangerous. We are homeschooling!
