Easter egg hunt

April 9th, 2007

We had a pseudo-egg hunt yesterday…in the house (it’s April and yet it was freezing cold out!). I say “pseudo” because my hubbie is Catholic while I’m Buddhist, but in name only and not exactly practicing. Therefore, we don’t celebrate Easter or any other religious holidays, just the “perks” that goes with it, like Christmas with just the tree and the presents underneath.

Tyler came home the other day from school and asked if the Easter Bunny would be coming and if he can have an egg hunt…I figured “why not?” It’s something for the kids to do while everything was closed on that day and that activity will keep them occupied for maybe…half an hour. Enough time to sit and have a nice breakfast without anyone tugging at my leg.

I’m speechless and that’s not like me

April 4th, 2007

I had to pick my jaw off of the ground after reading this. I’m simply speechless (which is not like me at all!), my hair got a bit grayer, and my blood pressure shot up quite a bit.

This is the second time in a month, I believe, that students as young as 5th Graders were caught having sex in school. I know, you read that correctly. S-E-X!

OH

MY

GOD!

A ton of questions went through my head, making my own parental judgment, who wouldn’t, right?

Weekend recap

April 2nd, 2007

This is my first “weekend recap” simply because I have “fart brain”, nothing but gas…silent but deadly gas. So, let me present to you what we did over the weekend.

As some of you know that I live to eat, and the same goes with the rest of my family. We plan our weekend menu on WEDNESDAY and which house our extended troop will congregate to, and plans will only change if one or two families have prior engagements with friends. I know, the nerve!
