A Mother’s Day wish
When it comes to being a Mom, we might have a different set of “manual” on how to raise our own children. But there is one thing that I know we all have in common is a wish for our children will be healthy and happy throughout their lives.
Seeing your four year-old coming off the school bus very excited because he has a flower hidden in his backpack just for Mother’s Day is truly priceless.
Here was Trent holding the flower especially for me.

Another Mother’s Day wish is never to set foot in the Emergency Room at all or maybe just one trip per kid would be more than enough. And Trent got his first introduction to the ER last night when he fell while playing with Sophia hitting his lips on the hardwood floor.
My poor baby was laughing one minute and screaming in pain the next with blood coming out of his bottom lip. My hubbie took one look and saw the cut, he thought it was cut right through the bottom of his outer skin. So off to the ER he went (after a five hour of planting flowers and yard work) with Trent .
Since the last incident with Tyler and the ER, I’ve become a little bit “prepared” of what to expect. And I was more than overjoyed when the hubbie called to tell me that no stitches were necessary since the cut didn’t go all the way through. Disaster has been averted but boy Trent was a trooper. He didn’t even cry when blood was drawn, or when his lips were poked.
Now THAT is better than a dinner out (along with the masses and the jacked-up prices) or any shiny “blings”.
Happy Mother’s Day to you!

Happy Mother’s Day to you!

That picture is terribly sweet. I’m glad things worked out alright with the ER…never a fun place to be.
Happy Mother’s Day!
Glad Trent is ok! Happy Mother’s Day, Betty!
Glad that all is well! Happy Mothers Day!
Aww, poor little guy. Sure glad he’s ok.
Hope you had a GREAT day!
Glad your story had a happy ending!
Happy Mother’s Day!
Poor Trent, hope he’s feeling better now. Aren’t kids sooo resilient? They really amaze me. We avoided the “expensive brunch” out this year and had a very lovely picnic at the park with the kids and my mom and dad. I think we’ve found a new family tradition for mother’s day.
A very, very happy (belated) Mother’s Day to you, too!
Poor thing! He sure sounds like a brave little boy!
I love how proud the kids are when they’re doing something special just for their Mommy!
Glad that there was no need for stitches. How scary! Things happen sooo quickly don’t they?
Happy Mother’s Day to you too!!
Happy Belated Mother’s day.
Glad Trent is ok but man, that sounds painfull.
Beautiful flower you got though!
Whew, glad your son is ok.
We’ve already been to the ER four times, and we only have one two-year-old. (Croup.)
Great picture!
I still can’t get over how fast kids get over the bumps and blood spills. Adults like me just milk it for a few weeks.
isn’t it the small things that make life wonderful!!
Priceless! Happy belated Mother’s Day, Waya!
Somehow when I first looked, it appeared he was holding a rather melty looking ice cream cone.
That wouldn’t be bad either, I like ice cream
Aww.. Now isn’t that just adorable! The ER is never a fun place to be.. Thank goodness for no stitches and that he was a trooper!! Honestly, I find that mine are more “trooperish” when their dad does the ER stuff. Me? They know I’ll baby them more. lol
Happy Belated Mothers Day!! Sounds like you enjoyed your special day!
hahahahaha about the ice cream comment. And awwwww sweet about the flower and OHHH poor Trent hurting his mouth. Poor kid. I am so glad he was okay and that massive injury had been averted.
