7 random things meme about moi
PastorMac’s Ann tagged me for a “7 random things about me” meme and I’m flattered someone actually cares to know things about me, yeah…moi.
So, here goes my 7 random things. Heck, you might think twice about me after reading this list.
1) I make a point not to walk on anyone else’s grass/yard besides my own. I have this fear of stepping on poop, any kind of poop, dog poop, squirrel poop, horse poop, ant poop…you name it. Not a lover of stepping on poop. ‘Nuff said?
2) I’m a fan of “spectator sports” and not a fan of sweating, so participating in any kind of sports is out of the question, although I can do it…just hate to sweat. The only thing I really enjoy doing is swimming, there’s not much sweating if all you do is wading in the water. Uh, I’m afraid of the deep ends.
3) Same as Ann, the hubbie proposed on a Friday and it was a total surprise. After enjoying a nice romantic dinner, he got down on his knees, I thought he dropped something but then he popped the question. I didn’t cry but was laughing hysterical at the scene. Nice huh?! Another couple also got engaged at the table nearby. Must be something in the wine that night.
4) I put my big foot in my big mouth A LOT. The first question my hubbie would say to me is “what did YOU do this time?” He knows me too well.
5) I never touched a drop of booz in High School. So when I was a Freshman in college, I was at a girlfriend’s dorm, and we had wine cooler. I called my roommate to let her know where I was and I told her that I was drunk. She asked me how much I had and I told her…a quarter of a wine cooler. Well, things have changed since then and I can’t wait to indulge after this baby’s out of the oven.
6) I’ve been to a few sales rally during my sales career before kids. At one rally in Las Vegas, we had a dress-up night in ball gowns and such. I was trying my luck at a slot machine, accompanied by many yummy free cocktails. I was told at one point that I fell asleep with the coin in my hand in midair trying to put it in the slot. I think the observer was exaggerating.
7) I was not an English major in college nor English was my first language, but I get really irk when I see “it’s” being used in place of “its” in any publications, especially magazines, or books. I guess it’s just one of my silly pet peeves.

I inherited a mean sweating gene. It doesn’t stop me from playing sports, just stops me from looking like a normal, healthy person while playing sports.

Never considered squirrels might poop before. Hmmm. How could I have never seen something in the park grass before and realized it came from a squirrel?
I agree, its pretty irritating when people get that wrong. And you can’t use the computer’s spell check because of it’s inability to determine the proper usage.
