Jaundice, induction, school’s out and other random updates

June 22nd, 2007

Thanks to everyone for the congratulatory comments/emails on the birth of Parker. I can't believe he is 10 days old and already gained 7 additional ounces.

I'm multi-tasking by typing and nursing Parker at the same time (the talent you say), so here are some random thoughts on what's been happening at our humble abode.

Jaundice updates

As you've read on my last post that Parker was very jaundiced after he was born, the level was so high that his pediatrician wanted him back at the hospital for a phototherapy treatment. I packed my bags and slept in the same room with Parker for two nights. Poor kid was in this incubator getting a "tan", the temperature was set at around 90 degrees, and only came out to be fed every two and a half hours.

Say hi to Parker, our new pride and joy

Please say hello to our new addition, Parker, who made his entrance via an induction (which I don't recommend, more on this later) on Monday, June 11 at 2:29 PM.

No, you don't need to adjust your glasses or your computer screen. YUP! He weighed in at a whopping 10 pounds and 2.8 ounces! AND HE WENT DOWN THE CHUTE, au naturel as in no Epidural!! NO! I'm not bragging, just insane and glutton for punishment!

While we’re away…

To my helper, my sister,

If "piglet" decides to come out this week during the night, here's the schedule for our 3 rugrats. You should get up around 7ish to get ready for the day.

-Pour milk into a coffee cup 1/2 way and heat up for 25 seconds, then transfer into the blue cup for Trent and green cup for Tyler.

-Wake Tyler up at 7:30, if the weather is hot...shorts (middle right drawer) and short-sleeved shirt (in closet), socks and sneakers. If rainy and around 60 degrees...long pants (bottom left drawer) and long-sleeved shirt (also in closet), socks and sneakers.
