Say hi to Parker, our new pride and joy
Please say hello to our new addition, Parker, who made his entrance via an induction (which I don’t recommend, more on this later) on Monday, June 11 at 2:29 PM.
No, you don’t need to adjust your glasses or your computer screen. YUP! He weighed in at a whopping 10 pounds and 2.8 ounces! AND HE WENT DOWN THE CHUTE, au naturel as in no Epidural!! NO! I’m not bragging, just insane and glutton for punishment!
Now, he was one day late…can you imagine if he decides to come out on his own term? He’d have been, do I dare to imagine, 11 or 12 frickin’ pounds!! And all this time I was calling him “piglet”! Well, who has the last laugh now huh?! Maybe he should be called “Porker” instead of “Parker”.
It’s been a bit hectic around our household, as you can imagine, but to add a sick hubbie and a sick Sophia to the mix…you get one really chaotic and cranky family.
Thank goodness my Mom has been here since Tuesday, until next Friday, to help out. And thanks to my awesome sister next store, who did answer the phone even after I sent her the “20-page instructions”, as she calls it, on how to take care of my three rugrags while I’m in labor.
Here’s another picture of our adorable big guy, who’s dealing with a very high level of Jaundice, and has to be fed every two hours, even though he’s content with waking me up every three hours.
I’ll post more later when everything settles down a bit. Hope all is well with everyone! And let me tell you, this motherhood thing never gets old! I’m so blessed!!
