Junk, junk and more junk

September 24th, 2007

The kids have been back to school for almost a month now. During their time at school, I have about four hours per week to myself (how splendid huh?!) only if Parker sleeps during those hours . But every time I plant myself in front of the laptop trying to write a post or reading blogs, or just sit and enjoy my breakfast...I feel a bit guilty since there are so many things/projects that needed to be done.

Love and marriage-a decade later

Today we celebrate our 10th year anniversary! But technically we've been together for 16 years. How time flies! And I was told by the hubbie that the 10th year is the year of the diamond. So I guess we'll see some blings tonight then? Yah right! When you have four kids to raise (read: diapers and college funds), and a mortgage that you'll be paying until you're like 99 years old (if you live that long), the only bling you'll get is the stuff from a Cracker Jack box my friend!

So here's to my hubbie of 10 years whom I've known since Freshman year in college:

A dual celebration

One of the best part of being married to someone outside your ethnic group is that you're introduced to that person's culture. This weekend, we went to NJ to celebrate Parker's 100 days with his Korean paternal grandparents.

Although Parker's not exactly 100 days old yet but we celebrated it anyway since the kids are going back to school and making a trip to NJ would be harder in a few weeks. We did have his Vietnamese 30-day celebration already. Any excuse for a get together with friends and eat is fine with me.
