Gotta believe!!

I know, I know…you’re saying “enough with the Red Sox alrighty!!” But as I mentioned in my last post, I’d only write about the Sox again if they win the World Series…and they certainly did tonight, a sweep of four game to none against the Colorado Rockies!!

WOW! What a nail biting game ’til the end. I’m dedicating this post to the remarkable John Lester, the starting pitcher tonight, who battled a rare form of non-Hodkin’s lymphoma last year at 22 years young. He kicked that nasty disease in the @ss and lead the Sox to their second World Series in three years. You are my MVP!!

I can bet that there will be a lot of people who will be calling in sick today, especially the guys/gals who came up with the promotion for Jordan’s Furnitures. Back in April of this year, the promotion is that you have about a few weeks (in April) to buy furnitures and if the Red Sox wins the World Series, those furnitures will be FREE!!

Well…30,000 customers took advantage of that promotion (I’m sure there are a bunch of people kicking themselves, including me, now for not gambling taking advantage of that promo!) and Jordan’s took out insurance for it. I heard the amount is somewhere around $20M. Can you say D’OH!!

Congrats to the Red Sox, the fans all over the world and the folks who bought furnitures at Jordan’s. It’s early Christmas present to all!!

Thank goodness this is over, I’m running out of toothpicks to prop up my eyes!!

Have a good week folks, I promise no more talk of sports from me. Go Pats! And how about that BC team, they’re #2! What a great time to be a sports fan in Boston folks!

Congratulations! I have to admit I missed the whole series this time, but it’s great to have the Red Sox repeat. :)

Hey Betty, congrats on the Red Sox win. My baseball season ended in September. :sigh: I did just tag you for a meme though. =)

Okay totally off topic but I was thinking about how big Parker is probably getting by now–my nephew was born about the same time and I was holding him amazed at how big he’s gotten already.
