Number ONE
It’s been so long since my last post that I totally forgot the password to WordPress! Could that be a sign of aging?
I’ve been up to my eyeballs with projects around here. And I can say that I’m DONE, as in D!O!N!E, put a fork in me kind of done, with my “home improvement” projects. I’ll post the before and after pics in another post.
This post is about my baby, my happy-go-lucky guy, my chubby guy, my pride and joy, my Parker. There’s going to be lots of bragging here folks, so if you’re not a parent or you’ve heard it here before…just kindly go straight to the gratuitous pictures.
I can’t believe Parker is ONE YEAR already today! My baby is growing up so fast and it’s been all bliss and joy, let me tell you. Alright, stop gagging! There’s something to be said about “the more kids you have, the easier it gets”. Really, don’t believe me? Try it out yourself! The hardest one for me was having the second baby. The adjustment was harder, but once you get the routine down, it gets easier. And it certainly is a benefit to having older children to help you out as well, not to mention a very supportive hubbie.
Anyway, let’s brag talk about Parker. From the day he was born, we knew he would be an easy baby (it wasn’t easy going down the chute). At 10 lbs 2 oz, he was the biggest one out of the four kids (it was all the pasta I ate during pregnancy). He rarely fusses or cries, the only time he cries is when he’s hungry, had a poopy package or needs to be burped. Anyone who meets him would say the same thing, he smiles at anyone who would look his way. We even wished he were a twin! Crazy huh?!
My other three children absolutely love him. I was afraid Sophia might be jealous but she has been like a mother figure to him. She smothers him with kisses every chance she gets. Even Trent and Tyler have commented often how cute Parker is.
Parker is now crawling and attempts to stand up, he’s pretty much every where. He has a very healthy appetite like his mama, he’d eat anything that’s put in front of him. He’s been a bit cranky lately since his two top molars are coming out adding to his other 8 teeth.
Something about being the 4th kid, he’s so “advanced” in every milestone. He was teething when he was 4 months old, lifted up his neck when he was 2 months old. Well, I can spit out the stats but you’re going to be bored. So without further adieu, here was the big man on campus (this past Saturday) having a torturous time of being dressed in the Korean outfit (thank goodness it’s only for the first year).
Want to see it again?
We couldn’t have asked for nicer weather. The kids had a blast with the biggest “grass killer” that we just bought. With the high cost of gas, our front lawn will be the summer vacation spot du jour.
And last but not least, Sophia was exhausted from all the fun and sun, she fell asleep on the ottoman at 4PM, totally passed out.
Happy birthday to my chubby, happy, adorable, handsome Parker who has brought us more happiness than we can express into words. We wish you a healthy and happy life!

Wow. I can’t believe he’s a year old already!
He sure is cute.
Oh, you should brag… he’s adorable! I’m with Heather, I can’t believe it’s been a whole year already. Man, time flies when you’re a blogger eh?
Anyway, happy birthday to Parker!
Now, get back to blogging so we can hear more about you and your cute kids.
Wow - a year? Where’d the time go!?
Love that crying picture. You know, he wouldn’t be crying if he had some popcorn chicken…
Happy Birthday, Parker! Such a beautiful boy.
Parker is SOOOO cute! It IS hard to believe he’s a whole year old already. I can’t wait to see the before and after pics of your projects—those are always so fun.
I tried to email you, but it bounced. I wrote a little bit about Buster’s birth here at the link below, but still need to get around to writing the details!

Happy Birthday!!! So much love in that house.
Happy Birthday!
So if that is the amount of treats at age 1…what is the limit set at for age 16???
Are you referring to the “treats” on the table Dennis? If so, let me tell you they are made of plastic. My MIL rented them in NJ for every 1 year celebration.
As for Parker’s birthday gifts…we’ve asked guests to bring a toy or books so we can donate them to the Children’s Hospital on Parker’s behalf. Being the 4th child, there are a mountain of hand-me-downs stuff, so Parker didn’t need anything else.
Awww…. man! Has it been a year already? Where does the time go?!
Happy birthday little man! He’s so adorable!!!
awww…look at Sophia! she’s gotten so big since I’ve last seen pics of her.
Mmmmm… look at the food & holy cow!!! The toys on your lawn! my kids would’ve loved being at your party.
So… is this it? Are you done? Is 4 enough?
