Gotta believe!!

October 29th, 2007

I know, I know...you're saying "enough with the Red Sox alrighty!!" But as I mentioned in my last post, I'd only write about the Sox again if they win the World Series...and they certainly did tonight, a sweep of four game to none against the Colorado Rockies!!

WOW! What a nail biting game 'til the end. I'm dedicating this post to the remarkable John Lester, the starting pitcher tonight, who battled a rare form of non-Hodkin's lymphoma last year at 22 years young. He kicked that nasty disease in the @ss and lead the Sox to their second World Series in three years. You are my MVP!!

Love and marriage-a decade later

September 13th, 2007

Today we celebrate our 10th year anniversary! But technically we've been together for 16 years. How time flies! And I was told by the hubbie that the 10th year is the year of the diamond. So I guess we'll see some blings tonight then? Yah right! When you have four kids to raise (read: diapers and college funds), and a mortgage that you'll be paying until you're like 99 years old (if you live that long), the only bling you'll get is the stuff from a Cracker Jack box my friend!

So here's to my hubbie of 10 years whom I've known since Freshman year in college:

A dual celebration

September 4th, 2007

One of the best part of being married to someone outside your ethnic group is that you're introduced to that person's culture. This weekend, we went to NJ to celebrate Parker's 100 days with his Korean paternal grandparents.

Although Parker's not exactly 100 days old yet but we celebrated it anyway since the kids are going back to school and making a trip to NJ would be harder in a few weeks. We did have his Vietnamese 30-day celebration already. Any excuse for a get together with friends and eat is fine with me.

A party fit for a (teethless) prince

July 17th, 2007

We have been planning a 30-day celebration party (a Vietnamese tradition) for Parker the first day he was born, which took place this past Saturday.

If you're a regular reader on this blog, you'd know that we I love/live to eat. And since we've had many parties in the past for such aforementioned occasion, we are now "pros" at party planning for over 50 people. When I say "we", I meant my "posse" of my super Mom and my two awesome sisters.

Here's a cornucopian of dishes of which the majority were homemade and some were ordered. Do you recognize any of the dishes? Commence drooling...now!
