A celebration to remember-Wentworth by the Sea

February 12th, 2009

Edited to note: I failed to mention that without the help of my wonderful parents and dedicated sisters/husband, this trip would not have been possible.  Yes, we needed the whole “army” to take care of our four children, I mean with Parker alone (20 months) who gets into everything, you’d need two people on skates just to catch up with him.  A million thanks to my family!!  And I also posted some gratuitous pictures as well if you just want to skip over all the blah blah blah.

Deserving Design

August 28th, 2008

I love that show, Deserving Design, on HGTV. Its host, Vern Yip has been one of my favorite designers on TV since “Trading Spaces”. I love his design, elegant and classy. So back in April when Deserving Design had a contest that you can nominate someone who deserves to have a room in their home redecorated, I automatically thought of my oldest sister. I’ve documented her battle with cancer since last year on this blog.

Mother’s Day tradition

May 11th, 2008

Every previous Mother’s Day, all the mothers in our families (that would be Mom, two sisters, sister-in-law and moi) spent our day cooking for the whole family. Our Mom prefers it that way since it would be so chaotic to have all twenty of us dining out. But not this year! I’ve made an executive decision for everyone…we’re having our girls’ day out! No screaming kids, no cleaning, no laundry, no errands, no chauffeuring anybody around, no changing diapers, no wiping bums, and no cooking for one day!!

Re: Damaged mailbox

Address: 123 Main Street

Our Town, USA

I’m writing to you regarding my mailbox which was damaged by “Our Town” plow truck. The incident took place on Thursday, 2/7/08 between 11:30 AM-12:00 PM.

At 8:00 AM, our mailbox was in good condition as I removed the previous day’s mail before dropping my son and niece off at the bus stop for school.

The pursuit of perfection comes to a disappointing end

February 4th, 2008

Although we don’t bleed red, white and blue in true Patriots colors but it still hurts right now thinking about the disappointing loss of the Trophy to the Giants last night. Perfect season (18-0) comes down to one important game and boy did the Patriots blow it BIG!  It was just painful, like having the worst constipation kind of pain watching the game.
