Thanksgiving divorce

November 27th, 2008

Did I catch your attention with the title of this post? If so, read on and you’ll find out why, my dear reader.

Sophia woke me up around 5:30ish this morning with her usual visit to mommy and daddy’s room. I can hear her little steps down the hall and finally a push to open our door. But she just stood there, by the doorway, afraid to be ushered back to her room like we always did when it was too early during the night. I refrained from calling out to her to see how long she can stand there by the door. So finally after a few minutes, she advanced to daddy’s side of the bed and was pulled up by him, cozily planted under the flannel sheets and blankets.

You know you’re in the boonies when…

and he’s joined by a family of turkeys, unaware that Thanksgiving is around the corner. Even Tyler advised them to “go away turkeys, Thanksgiving is not here yet!”

This one is so bold that he’s (I’m assuming it’s a he) sneaking around by the side of our garage. Somebody should give him a head’s up that it’s not too wise to be roaming around in day light this time of year. You think?
