Love is a bucket of finger-lickin’ good KFC

January 4th, 2007

For the past few days, all I’ve been dreaming of is this

yup, a bucket of those finger-lickin’ good chickens, only the drumsticks please. The more trans fat, the better. Bring it on, I say!!

I know I’m making a bunch of you sick of me talking about food all the time ever since I got knocked up again for the 4th time. So, to those folks, I want to say “the baby’s making me do it, I swear!” Everything just looks so good!! I mean, all I can think of is food, morning, noon AND night. I’m actually drooling while typing this and glancing at that gigantic bucket up above. SOMEBODY HELP ME!!!

Love is in the Post-its

December 20th, 2006

Love is making and packing your hubbie lunch (a very rare occasion!) for work.

Love is knowing that your hubbie can be as forgetful as you. And as a reminder, you put post-its around the house. Not one but three.

Love Post-it #1 (on his CrackBerry)

Love Post-it #2 (in the fridge)

Love Post-it #3 (door leading to the garage)

Overkill you say? Overkill would be to put another note in the car to remind him not to forget his lunch in the car. Hee hee!!

Happy Love Thursday!

Love is a community

December 13th, 2006

Love is being able to share the news with your blogging friends who have been so generous with their compliments and excitement. Thank you to all of you wonderful efriends!

Love is a community involving two caring and very thoughtful bloggers (and the many who’ve donated items) who’ve started an auction, Her Bad Auction, on behalf of Her Bad Mother’s nephew Tanner, who has Duchenne’s Muscular Dystrophy. The auction is a series of raffles to raise money for Muscular Dystrophy Research. Go here for more info.

Love is sending Tanner letters or drawings from your children. Everyone loves to get letters, children included.

Love is in the surprise

December 6th, 2006

Love is when your hubbie surprises you and your three children by coming home one day early from his business trip. The excitement and squeal of laughter from your children when they see their Dad walks through the door just melts my heart. Not to mention my own elation.

My hubbie is THE king of surprises. I can still remember clearly the day he drove four hours to surprise me for my 21st birthday (um, that was only a few years ago…ahem) that a friend had planned. It was when we did the long distance relationship thing and then he drove home the same night for work the next morning. That’s love folks, or should I say crazy in love.

Love of broccolis

November 29th, 2006

Love is seeing your 20 month-old Sophia enjoying broccolis like it was a sweet treat. She would chomp on the top first and then work her way down towards the stem, and in one whoosh…the whole broccoli is gone. And out comes her little hand asking for more.

How can a mother not like that?! Don’t believe me? Check out how she has her mouthful with that wonderfully-good-for-you green stuff.

I guess I can take credit for her love of broccolis. I can eat a bowlful of steamed broccolis just by itself over a bowlful of chocolates any day. Yes, you read that right…CHOCOLATES. I hear the gasping out there in the blogosphere. I’m freakish that way, didn’t you know that already?!
